ASIS International (ASIS)

ASIS International (ASIS) is the preeminent organization for security professionals, with more than 37,000 members worldwide. Founded in 1955, ASIS is dedicated to increasing the effectiveness and productivity of security professionals by developing educational programs and materials that address broad security interests, such as the ASIS Annual Seminar and Exhibits, as well as specific security topics. ASIS also advocates the role and value of the security management profession to business, the media, government entities, and the public. By providing members and the security community with access to a full range of programs and services, and by publishing the industry’s number one magazine—Security Management—ASIS leads the way for advanced and improved security performance.

Association of Information Security Professionals (AISP)

The Association of Information Security Professionals (AISP) was registered with the assistance of the Singapore Computer Society (SCS) and the strong support of the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) in February 2008. It was officially launched on 17 April 2008 by Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports.

AISP aims to:

  • To promote, develop, support and enhance the integrity, technical competence, management expertise, status and interests of information security professionals in Singapore.
  • To promote the development, increase and spread of information security knowledge and of any related subject.

CISSP Korea Chapter

CISSP Korea Chapter is the not-for-profit organization formed in Jul, 2005 to gather & share the knowledge and discuss information security issues to raise the level of information security in the local community. CISSP Korea Chapter, a member of (ISC)² ALIG in Korea, is focusing on networking and collaborative study with local information professionals and aim to extend to global communication for enhancing the position of CISSP and information security..

CyberSecurity Malaysia

CyberSecurity Malaysia began its operation as the Malaysian Computer Emergency Response Team (MyCERT) in 1997. In 1998, it became the National ICT Security & Emergency Response Centre (NISER) and by 2007, NISER underwent another transformation and was renamed CyberSecurity Malaysia.

With a new mandate, CyberSecurity Malaysia is positioned as the national cyber security specialist under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI). It runs the Cyber999TM Help Centre for Malaysian Internet users. It also provides safety tips, advisories, and specialized services in the fields of cyber security such as Digital Forensics and Wireless Security. In addition, it runs a Training Centre for professional certification; manages an Outreach Portal www.cybersafe.my and is the sole certification body for Common Criteria (ISO15408) in Malaysia.

The International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC)

The International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC), a US registered not-for-profit organization, leads a global movement to protect children from sexual exploitation and abduction. ICMEC

  • Works to combat child abduction and child sexual exploitation globally;
  • Provides training and assistance to law enforcement, legal professionals, NGOs, and governments;
  • Advocates for model legislation to protect children;
  • Promotes the creation of national centers based on a public-private partnership model; and
  • Leads a global financial coalition to eradicate commercial child pornography.

The International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children Limited (ICMEC Ltd.), duly registered in Singapore, aims to better protect children in the Asia Pacific region from exploitation and sexual abuse by enhancing regional awareness of these widespread problems. The objectives for which ICMEC Ltd. was established are:

  • To lead a financial coalition to fight commercial child sexual exploitation;
  • To prevent child abduction and sexual exploitation and help countries in the region create mechanisms that help find missing children and assist victims and their families; and
  • To promote the creation of national centre’s and affiliates in the region for missing and exploited children based on public-private partnership models

To achieve the above objectives, ICMEC, Ltd. undertakes the following:

  • Work alongside financial industry and law enforcement to combat commercial child-sexual exploitation, promoting and expanding the APAC-Financial Coalition Against Child Pornography;
  • Develop vital relationships with governments, law enforcement, civil society, and industry;
  • Build an international network to disseminate images of and information about missing and exploited children. And expand and promote ICMEC’s: Global Missing Children’s Network, YouTube Missing Children’s Channel, and Global Internet Safety Campaign.
  • Identify and facilitate regional training to help prevent child abduction and sexual exploitation for law enforcement, prosecutors, judges, legal professionals, NGOs, and government officials;
  • Develop global resources to find missing children and prevent child-sexual exploitation;
  • Research and suggest changes in laws, treaties, and systems to protect children worldwide; and
  • Conduct roundtables and international expert conferences to build awareness, and to encourage and increase cooperation and collaboration between and among countries.

The International Multilateral Partnership Against Cyber Threats (IMPACT)

The International Multilateral Partnership Against Cyber Threats (IMPACT) is the cybersecurity executing arm of the United Nations' specialised agency - the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). As the world’s first comprehensive alliance against cyber threats, IMPACT brings together governments, academia and industry experts to enhance the global community’s capabilities in dealing with cyber threats.

Based in Cyberjaya, Malaysia, IMPACT is the operational home of ITU’s Global Cybersecurity Agenda (GCA). As ITU’s cybersecurity executing arm, IMPACT provides ITU’s 192 Member States access to expertise, facilities and resources to effectively address cyber threats, as well as assisting United Nations agencies in protecting their ICT infrastructures.
